Time to Shine: Celebrate Night Auditor Appreciation Day with Otelier
Nominate your standout night auditor for a chance to win Otelier’s 2025 Night Auditor of the Year award. |
BETHESDA, Md. – Otelier, a hospitality data platform powering the future of hotel operations, is proud to announce the return of Night Auditor Appreciation Day on Sunday, May 18. The annual celebration, launched by Otelier in 2023, recognizes the critical contributions of night auditors – the overnight hotel professionals who work behind the scenes to ensure every property runs smoothly from one day to the next.
When much of the hotel staff goes home, the night auditor steps in – often acting as front-desk host, accountant, security guard, breakfast attendant, bartender, and overnight IT support all at once. These team members are the first line of communication when guests arrive late or experience issues overnight, and they’re the last ones to leave before the day shift takes over.
Night auditors are the unsung heroes of hotel operations. Because they work while most of us sleep, their impact can go unnoticed – but their role is absolutely vital. They’re responsible for closing out the day’s financials, keeping properties secure, preparing daily operational reports, and ensuring everything is in order before a new day begins. Night Auditor Appreciation Day is our way of making sure they feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Rob Lawrence, CEO of Otelier
To honor these dedicated professionals, Otelier is now accepting nominations for its annual Night Auditor of the Year Award. Nominators are encouraged to recognize night auditors who consistently go above and beyond in their duties. The winner will be announced on Friday, May 16, and will receive a $200 Amazon gift card along with public recognition on Otelier’s platforms. Nominations can be submitted here.
