Putting People First and Providing Care For All: How Hilton Benefits Support Caregivers
McLEAN, Va. – November is National Family Caregivers Month, and more than 73% of U.S. employees are caregivers. In honor of the caregivers who play a vital role in every family, Hilton is celebrating its continued commitment to providing industry-leading initiatives that empower and support all team members who are serving dual roles at work and home. Whether taking care of children, parents, siblings, pets or other loved ones, Hilton is constantly developing ways to support team members and those closest to them through all stages of life.
Thrive at Hilton, Hilton’s suite of team member offerings and benefits, encompasses the many ways in which the global hospitality company supports its team members both personally and professionally. It is designed to help team members and their loved ones thrive in mind, body and spirit with benefits that support them in times of personal change, including those focused on caregiving. These include:
- Manager Training & Support: Hilton knows that team members who are also caregivers rely on their teams for support. In partnership with Thrive Global, Hilton developed new trainings to help leaders better support the caregivers on their teams through creating a culture of care and compassion and helping team members manage stress. Managers can access these trainings as well as tip sheets and links to additional on-demand resources.
- Parents Concierge: Available to U.S. corporate team members, this is a one-stop resource to help new and expecting parents as they prepare to grow their family. The dedicated Concierge Team can help with everything from filing parental leave paperwork, to adding health care coverage to providing tips for returning to work.
- Adoption Assistance: Hilton’s adoption assistance program provides eligible U.S.-based team members up to USD 10,000 per child for qualified adoption expenses, including agency and legal fees, immunization and translation costs and transportation. This benefit extends to multiple adoptions with no limit to the number of adoptions.
- Mental wellbeing support for teens and parents: Lyra, Hilton’s partner for the U.S. Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offers focused support for teens and parents. Lyra Care for Teens includes fast access to a large network of child specialist therapists and digital content built for and with teens. In addition, parents can work with a coach for support with the challenges of parenting and access self-led parenting tools online.
Many resources are also found on the Care For All Hub, a collection of resources and information on Hilton benefits designed to guide team members and their loved ones through all stages of life, including access to tip sheets, webinars, articles, and eCourses organized by type of care and guidance from fellow team members.

Through Hilton’s partner Wellthy, team members are provided personalized caregiving concierge services to help tackle the logistical and administrative tasks of caregiving. Upon registration, team members are matched to a personalized and dedicated care coordinator, who helps with a variety of tasks, such as identifying the right in-home aide, handling a move into an assisted living facility, evaluating and recommending babysitters and nanny agencies, coordinating daily tasks for aging seniors, contesting medical bills, finding support for veterans, and more. Wellthy is available to full-time and part-time team members in the U.S., U.K. and Ireland.
- Starting in January 2025, Wellthy will also expand its offering with Parental Support. Available to U.S.-based team members, Wellthy will help parents transition into life with a newborn by providing access to virtual doulas, lactation coaches, sleep coaches and parenting coaches. Additionally, Wellthy will assist team members who are returning from parental leave with a ‘return-to-work’ checklist, outlining all actions that need to be taken before, during and after leave.
- Based on Hilton team member feedback, Wellthy built out a Teen Support solution for U.S., U.K. and Ireland-based team members. Wellthy can help with a variety of tasks, including finding mental health services for a teen, finding ACT and SAT tutors, evaluating college prep courses and volunteer programs, sourcing driver’s education classes and resources and more.
In addition to its various caregiving and support benefits, in 2024 Hilton launched Crisis Concierge to full-time and part-time team members worldwide. This resource is designed to support those mourning the loss of a loved one to help them through the associated complex and difficult tasks that follow. This benefit aims to ensure that team members, their managers and their families have one point of contact on the Hilton benefits team to help them navigate everything from logistical details around insurance benefits, arrangements, emotional support resources and more.
