The years that followed brought with it an "era of uncertainty", as business travel spend wavered between moderate gains—driven by technological achievements and new sustainability practices, and moderate losses—resulting from emerging market and travel risks. Entering 2021, we are in danger of another global recession as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
